MSP Testimonials vs Testimonial Hero vs Vidico: an honest comparison

Five ways to get customer video testimonials made, compared on what each company publishes about itself, including where the others are a better choice than us

MSP Testimonials, Testimonial Hero, Vidico, Remote Video Testimonials and Here Now Films all make customer testimonial videos, for different buyers. Testimonial Hero suits large B2B programmes on an annual plan. Vidico suits tech brands wanting a lot of polished video. Remote Video Testimonials suits a quick single remote video. Here Now Films suits cinematic filming in London. MSP Testimonials suits MSPs and channel vendors wanting an interview-led story and a full sales pack.

People comparing testimonial services mostly end up doing it the hard way, with five browser tabs open and a spreadsheet, because the pricing is laid out differently on every site and half of it sits behind a call. So I've done that spreadsheet here, for the providers MSPs and channel vendors most often come across, and then said plainly who each one suits.

A word on how, because a comparison written by one of the companies in it deserves some suspicion. Everything below about other providers comes from their own websites, last checked on 15 September 2026 and linked, so you can check it yourself. Where a site says two different things, I've said so rather than picked the one that suits me. I haven't commented on the quality of anyone's work, because you can watch their examples and judge that better than I can. Prices change, so treat every figure as a starting point for your own conversation.

MSP Testimonials

What we are: an interview-led testimonial service that works only in the IT channel, for MSPs, IT service companies and the vendors and distributors who sell through them.

  • How it's recorded: always remotely. Your customer joins a 45-minute video call from their own desk, recording on their phone on a small tripod we post to them.
  • Who runs the interview: James Steel, every time. He also chooses the moments afterwards and writes the edit notes; a human editor cuts the film and people review it. The whole process is manual, and none of it is automated.
  • Price: $2,295 a story, less per story in packs, down to $1,521 in a 24-Pack. Prices exclude VAT.
  • Turnaround: the full pack lands 14 working days after the interview.
  • What arrives: 48 pieces from one interview, including a full film of up to four minutes, a teaser, five shorts, a sales battlecard, a case study, a one-page sales guide, eleven social posts, four emails, a landing page, a blog post and an AI search kit.
  • If it isn't right: if we can't get it to a standard you're proud to publish, you get a full refund for that story, with the exceptions set out in our terms.

Choose us if you sell in the IT channel, you want your customer interviewed by someone who already knows the market, and you want the sales and marketing material built from the same conversation rather than bought separately.

Testimonial Hero

What they are: a US testimonial company for B2B revenue teams, offering remote, on-site and self-recorded testimonials on one plan.

  • How it's recorded: three ways, according to their pricing page. Remote, where "one of our experienced creative producers will conduct the live interview" and the customer's smartphone records it. On-site, with a crew "from our global network of videographers". Or self-recorded, with customers "prompted with questions from our AI avatar".
  • Price: listed as "Average Costs" on a 12-month term. Remote runs from $3,800 for video alone to $8,600 for video plus written assets. On-site runs from $9,200 to $13,348.
  • Turnaround: their pricing FAQ says "End-to-end we say 45 days but that varies a lot depending on how long it takes to schedule the customer", and their customer testimonials page says first videos arrive "within 2 weeks of filming".
  • What arrives: a full-story video of 90 to 120 seconds, with a social cut and a sales enablement cut on higher tiers, and a written bundle (case study, one-page case study, sales slide and quote cards) on the Video + Written plans. Every package includes a dedicated project manager.
  • Who they serve: their industry pages cover software, cybersecurity, agencies, building materials, franchisors and medical devices, and their customer spotlights include a managed IT provider.

Choose Testimonial Hero if you're running a large programme across several regions or product lines, you want on-site filming as an option alongside remote, and a dedicated project manager on an annual plan suits the way you buy.

Vidico

What they are: a video production company for tech and SaaS brands, making testimonials alongside explainers, ads and brand films.

  • How it's recorded: both ways. "Remote case study videos run on Zoom or Riverside", and on-location videos "need a Vidico crew onsite".
  • Price: their pricing page doesn't show figures and asks you to take a short quiz. Their case study page describes "monthly subscription plans, starting at $5,000 and scaling to $16,500+ for enterprise", and their testimonial page says prices "range from a few hundred to several thousand dollars per video".
  • Turnaround: "a typical case study video takes 4 to 6 weeks from kickoff to delivery", and subscription clients "often compress this to 3 or 4 weeks".
  • What arrives: "one shoot produces 40+ assets", all video.
  • Reach: they work across "200+ regions in 17 languages".

Choose Vidico if you're a tech brand that wants a lot of highly produced video, animation or ads alongside your testimonials, or you need filming and subtitles in several languages.

Remote Video Testimonials

What they are: a US remote testimonial service working with a wide range of businesses, IT companies among them.

  • How it's recorded: remotely. They post the guest "a smartphone tripod" and "a clip-on microphone", which "is theirs to keep", and run a guided interview that their site describes as taking anything from "as little as 30 minutes" to "45 minutes".
  • Price: their FAQ says "for a single video testimonial, the cost is $2,000". For three videos, the same page quotes both "$3,000" and "$4,000".
  • Turnaround: "from the interview to delivery takes no more than 10 business days", which is faster than our 14 working days.
  • What arrives: an edited video with "branding, captions, and custom graphics", plus two months of their Success Accelerator programme on packages.
  • If it isn't right: a "100% satisfaction guarantee", revising until you're happy or giving "a full refund".

Choose Remote Video Testimonials if you want a single finished remote video quickly, at a lower single price, and don't need the written and sales material alongside it.

Here Now Films

What they are: a London video production company making testimonial films on location.

  • How it's recorded: on site, on a London filming day, according to their testimonial page.
  • Price: the Full Production package is listed at "£6,500+" (the FAQ on the same page says it "starts at £6,000"), and their Campaign tier, marked "Most Popular", is "£10,000+".
  • Turnaround: "a typical project takes 4-6 weeks from initial strategy call to final delivery".
  • What arrives: on Full Production, "1× Hero Film (2-3 mins)" and "2× Social Media Cuts (30-60 secs)".

Choose Here Now Films if you want cinematic filming at your customer's premises, with the location, the building and the people in shot, and have the budget and lead time for a filming day.

And the self-record apps

If what you need is lots of short clips rather than an interviewed story, self-record software is built for it and all of the above are overkill. Starting prices on each site today: VideoAsk $24 a month billed yearly, Testimonial.to $25 a month, StoryPrompt $39 a month billed yearly, Boast $50 a month billed yearly, and Vocal Video $99 a month billed yearly. Most have a free tier too. You do the asking, and your customer answers prompts on their own device.

So which should you choose?

The question that separates them most isn't really price. It's what you're going to do with the testimonial afterwards. If the answer is "put it on the website", most of these will do the job. If the answer is "arm the sales team, fill the service pages and give partners something to forward", check what actually arrives, because that's where the providers differ most.

Where the others are the better choice

In plain terms, you'd be better served elsewhere if:

  • You want footage filmed at your customer's premises. We only ever record remotely. Testimonial Hero, Vidico and Here Now Films all offer on-site filming.
  • You need it faster than 14 working days. Remote Video Testimonials say ten business days.
  • You need several languages. Vidico work in 17.
  • You're not in the IT channel. We don't work outside it, and every other provider here does.
  • You want a lot of short clips cheaply. That's what the self-record apps are for.
